31 Days of Etsy

I would like to announce my my plans for starting 2011 off with a BANG! I am challenging myself to create 31 original, modern, miniature goodies for the month of January where I will be posting a new item once a day on my AmazingMiniatures Etsy Shop!

I thought about having a-blog-post-a-day for January, but I do not want to bombard my readers with a ton of posts, nor do I want to end up posting just for the sake of it. I settled with Etsy since it’s not as intrusive as blogging once a day, it challenges me to be more creative in actually making something! Etsy-once-a-day also allows me to be more efficient, to focus on one main task each day (e.g. of crafting, photoshoots, and editing) rather than doing a bit of each per day if I were to blog about it. I also can take my time writing the the in-progress/walk-through photo posts. And best of all, if I make any sales from it, it would help fund the addiction, err obsession, um, I mean my hobby. 😉

Ideally, I would like to make 31 new pieces of furniture, but due to time considerations, I may end up sticking a few mini art pieces and accessories here and there. Either way, I need to get a move on.. I haven’t started working on anything yet!

Can you tell that I am super excited with this challenge? I think this will be way more fun than having the same old new years resolution of dieting and exercise that I always seem break within the month. >_<

Do you have any miniature resolutions, goals, or challenges for 2011?

I hope so too Bizianka! And yes, I will be posting pictures at least once a week on the stuff I make.

I hope you build that dollhouse of yours too and will be looking forward to pictures 😉

Happy new years to you too!

What a fabulous idea! I think I may have to jump on that same train… Especially with my new room set up! My Etsy shop is dreadfully empty. I already have my next few sales (if I get any) spent. Sorry for the bad juju I am sending your way, but I WANT THAT TABLE!!! 🙂

Yes, yes, YES! You should! And you should post it up on your blog too 😀

Love the new workshop as well! No bad juju here 😉

So, I read the “no bad juju” and I immediately interpreted that to mean you sold the table to someone else. Never have you seen someone sprint so quickly through cyberspace!!!

        Phew! It’s still there.

Lol oops! I guess I misread you too!

And no, the table is still there. 😛

I do get a decent amount of inquiry on it and even some international offers that usually do not work out because I require insurance on the shipping! I’m getting tempted to just fix it up and keep it for show since I may end up selling the scroll saw plans for a few bucks on the Etsy shop in the future 😉

Aaaaahhhhh! Noooooooooo!!! I plan on getting it! Saving pennies now! 🙂
