As you know from a previous post, I have been experimenting with making plastic copies of the Modern Bookcase. I’m finally at the point where I can make them without too much errors and too much time spent on fixing or polishing up the casts. Now, it takes about 1.5 hours to prep the mold, pour resin, release it from the mold, sometimes make repairs, and sand the heck out of it for it to be up to my standards. 1.5 hours might seem like a lot of time (and that doesn’t include the time it takes for the cast to cure), but 1.5 hours vs the 10+ hours previously is a hell of a dramatic improvement.
So with that, I’m happy to announce that the resin bookcases are now available on my Etsy shop for sale!
