I just listed the VIKAesque Wood Kit on Etsy. Thus begins a transition from fully assembled pieces to more kits. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while now. The most time intensive part of developing kits will be writing the directions. But that only needs to be done once and with that done, I can focus on making more goodies. Other pros includes allowing collectors to finish it to fit their scene as opposed to the other way around and a significantly cheaper price for the same piece.
The above picture is just a little peek on what you can do with the VIKAesque Kit, finished and photographed by my favorite guinea pig, Fran ;-). She “stained” the wood using a magic marker, specifically Chartpak Warm Gray #3. Great idea, I say. Better than breathing in the fumes from the industrial stuff! The whole scene is juts awesome. I love everything about it.. especially Kitty! Do check out Fran’s shop. I hear some exciting new goodies will be added in a few days!
As for the fully assembled pieces (Black VIKAesque, only 3 left; B&W VIKAesque, 6 left), I’ll be phasing them out, so whatever I have available now will no longer be restocked.
Not everything will be offered in kit form and assembling and finishing services will be available at varying costs depending on the product.
Kits, what a very good idea!

Thanks Geneviève!

May my birthday bless me with oodles of money so I can get some from you! 🙂
😀
This is truly fabulous news for mini collectors. Plus, as you say, the kits can be suited to personal taste. Fran’s take on your design looks wonderful =0)
Thanks Pepper! This is the goal… plus, it’s much less work for me 😉
Also, I agree, Fran is really awesome with minis!
