Many apologies for the late weekly review post. There were too many baby showers and birthdays going on over the long weekend! I even missed an Etsy post on Sunday. T_T (Don’t worry, I made it up though!)
With week 2 being over, that means that I am only halfway through with the 31 Days of Etsy Challenge. I have to admit, things are getting tough. I’ve been busy finishing up my last bit of freelance projects, getting all my tax stuff in order, and having two fairly large custom orders pop up, so finding the time to work on minis for the challenge is becoming very difficult.
I have about 10 different furniture projects that are half done and will likely not be finished this month. These pieces will probably show up when the challenge is over so I can finish it properly. You may have also noticed that there are quite a few unfinished wood pieces because the finishing part of it takes another day, and that is on top of the time it takes for photography, image editing, content writing, and posting! Blah, no time!
Anywho, here’s the weekly review:
Day 8: Potted Fern Plant with Wood Base
This is pretty much the wood based version of the miniature fern plan in a white base. I have too much fern stuff. I really need to get different greenery.
Day 9: Square Zen Bowl
I told you I would be including more miniatures made from my craft sticks. I intended this to be stained a walnut color, but alas, no time.
Day 10: Spiral Zen Bowl
A nicer version of the zen bowl which gave me the idea for the coffee table posted later in the week.
Day 11: Spiral Zen Wood Sculpture
More stick stuff. I like this sculpture!
Day 12: Zen Wood Pillar Table with Acrylic Top
As simple as this piece is, it took two days of cutting, gluing, and clamping to get it to what you see here.
Day 13: Zen Wood Spiral Coffee Table
This is my favorite piece of the week. I wanted it to be a smidge higher, but I thought that it’d make the table top too wide. In retrospect, the wideness of the table is not be a bad thing. Hmmm..
Day 14: 3D Paper Wall Art Titled “The Island”
Hopefully the future versions will have the proper colors of the scene cut out in colored cardstock.
Lastly
Don’t forget to check out Lyssa’s her Etsy shop. She’s been painting up a storm for the Etsy challenge!
I loved everything you posted this week. I think the art piece is my favorite. Congrats on your slew of sales this week, too.
I understand the no time thing, and I was late on a posting also. Oh well; at least we haven’t quit yet!!
I still need time to post on my blog. Hopefully I can do that today. congrats again!
Aw thanks Lyssa. I was hoping to make a snazzier art piece but it was a pain working in that scale. And yes, your adoring fans await for your next blog post!
Wild about your work! I put your shelf on my blog, http://Leftcoastmini.blogspot.com/ Thanks CM
Thank you so much for the lovely post and the kind words CM!
