31 Days of Etsy Challenge: Week 4 Review

Today makes the 4th week of the 31 Days of Etsy Challenge. And you know what that means? That means there are only 3 days left til its over!

Here are the goodies that have been posted this week:

Day 22: Shadowbox Wall Art, Titled “Heart” in Yellow & Pink

Miniature Shadowbox Paper Wall Art, "Heart" Yellow & Pink made for 1:12 Scale Dollhouses

More goodies for Valentine’s Day! The original piece was to be all pink, but I decided to split them up with a copy in yellow. The colors just work so well together.

Day 23: Shadowbox Wall Art, Titled “Heart” in Pink & Yellow

Miniature Shadowbox Paper Wall Art, "Heart" Pink & Yellow made for 1:12 Scale Dollhouses

Same as Day 22’s post, but with the colors flipped around. I know, I cheated a bit!

Day 24: Shadowbox Wall Art, Titled “Heart, Pretty in Purple”

Miniature Shadowbox Paper Wall Art, "Heart, Pretty in Purple" made for 1:12 Scale Dollhouses

All the hearts I created were first drawn in photoshop and then trace cut out on colored cardstock. This piece was the only one that was free hand. Unfortunately, It doesn’t balance too well and I don’t like it very much.

Day 25: Shadowbox Wall Art, Titled “Heart, Cracked”

Miniature Shadowbox Paper Wall Art, "Heart Cracked" in Yellow made for 1:12 Scale Dollhouses

My favorite piece of the week.

Day 26: Shadowbox Wall Art, Titled “Inner Wing”

Miniature Shadowbox Paper Wall Art, "Inner Wing" in Purple made for 1:12 Scale Dollhouses

This was the second attempt at cutting this out. The first one had way more feather things, but proved too delicate to cut out by hand without it getting ruin. This is the simplified version.

Day 27: Origami Wall Art, Titled “The Crane” in Pink & Purple

Miniature Origami Paper Wall Art, "The Crane" Shadowbox Framed in White 1:12 Scale Dollhouses

I used to do a whole lot of origami in my high school days. After finishing this piece, I am considering picking it back up again!

Day 28: Origami Wall Art, Titled “4 Stars” in Pink (Sold)

iniature Origami Paper Wall Art, "4 Stars" in Pink, Shadowbox Framed in White 1:12 Scale Dollhouses

This is probably my second favorite of the week. Its so simple, but elegant.

Almost Done…

I’m finally feeling better from the cold/flu/perpetual sickness of this month, but I’m stuck spending my free time catching up with my missed work and deadlines. That explains why this is yet another cop out week. 🙁

I still haven’t made the items for the last two days, and I am hoping to pump out something nice for the last day. Wish me luck!

And just a heads up, in anticipation with the challenge being over soon, I’ll be having a pretty sweet giveaway, so stay tuned. 😉

Lastly, don’t forget to check out Lyssa’s Etsy shop, as she is also participating in the 31 Days of Etsy!

You have done so great with this challenge! Even if you think your items have been cop outs. 🙂 Love the 3D art you are doing. Very cool.

My time got whisked away from me this weekend with tons of kids stuff commitments. Guess I will be doing the last 3 items all tomorrow. Does it still count if we listed 31 items in a 31 day period, but not necessarily one a day?!

Lol, I guess it does still count.. since we’ve both been doing it right?! I mean, who’s keeping track anyway? hehe.

I can’t say this enough though, I am SOOOO happy this challenge is over with. I am definitely going to have to plan ahead for next year!
